A source close to the film said that the ground was bought for trans persons without homes, and people from the trans community have appealed to the public to donate for the cost of the building. “Lawrence has handed over the ground. A house needs to be built now, and a public appeal has been made for this. They are planning a three-storey building that can house close to 100 people per floor,” said the source.

The source added that Ragahva Lawrence is currently busy as the film is in the process of acquiring a censor certificate. The actor-director had earlier said that he wanted a small audio launch event to save money and buy the ground in Meenjur.

The second part in Muni installement, Kanchana, featured Sarathkumar as the ghost of a trans-woman who possessed Lawrence’s lead character to take revenge from a man who murdered her family. In an interview with SilverscreenLawrence said, “Like Kanchana, the fourth installment will also address a social issue.” He also said that the film was first planned with a female lead.
