The trailer of director Chimbudevan’s much awaited film Puli will be launched on August 20. A poster carrying the release date was unveiled yesterday. The team also extended birthday wishes to actress Sridevi. Sridevi was in Chennai yesterday for a quiet celebration with director Chimbudevan, producer PT Selvakumar, and Shibu Thameens.

At the recent press meet for the film, director Chimbudevan had said that the movie would most likely release on September 17. The post-production work is currently underway and the CG works are being completed in six countries.
Puli stars Vijay, Hansika, Shruti Haasan, Sridevi, and Sudeep. Composer Devi Sri Prasad’s music had a grand launch on August 2, but has received only a lukewarm response thus far. The technical crew includes cinematographer Natarajan Subramaniam and editor Sreekar Prasad.
