Director Chimbu Deven’s Puli, which is schedule to release on October 1 in three languages (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi), will be screened in over 3000 theatres worldwide. The advance ticket bookings opened this week and even with special shows, tickets for the week speedily sold out. According to sources, even the Puli team didn’t anticipate such a response, especially from global audiences.
Puli‘s trailer has also become the most popular trailer for an Indian film, surpassing the trailer for the Hindi film Kick 2 starring Salman Khan. Recently, the second trailer of the movie was unveiled, and has been trending on Twitter and social media.
The cast for Puli includes Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Hansika, Sridevi, Sudeep, Robo Shankar, Prabhu, Vidyullekha Raman, Nandita Swetha, Thambi Ramaiah, and Aadukalam Naren. The film has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and is jointly produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar.
