Shivgami will be a three-season show with a budget of 2 million USD per episode.

Speaking about the project, the director said: “The Baahubali series made a huge impact with its unique storytelling. This prequel promises to amp up the excitement of all the Baahubali fans. I am really honoured to be part of this project and be able to work with Rajamouli sir.”

Meanwhile, the second schedule of Prasthanam, starring Sanjay Dutt, is underway in Lucknow. Work on the film, which is being co-produced by Dutt himself, has already started. The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Ali Fazal, Amyra Dastur, Chunky Pandey and Satyajeet Dubey.

Earlier last month, Dutt took to Twitter and shared a few pictures from the sets of the film. The shooting for the film began on June 1, marking the birth anniversary of Nargis Dutt.

Talking about the film, Deva Katta told Firstpost: “Each character in Prasthanam has a very strong role to play for which we needed actors with great caliber. When the team came up with the idea to cast Manisha Koirala to play onscreen wife of Sanjay Dutt, it was a perfect match in my mind. I am looking forward to direct them both especially since they are coming back together after 10 years.”

Satyajeet plays Dutt’s son, while sources reveal that Swara Bhasker might be brought in to play the role of Dutt’s step daughter.
