Pranav Mohanlal’s debut film is ready to begin pre-production work, and will begin shooting in the second half of the year. The film, which is directed by Jeethu Joseph, will mostly be shot in locations outside Kerala. Times of India reports that the first draft of the script is ready.
Pranav Mohanlal, Mohanlal’s son, was a child artiste, and later assistant director. Pranav, interestingly, was Jeethu Joseph’s assistant on Papanasam, and Life of Josutty. He will debut as a star with this film, billed as a mystery thriller with the lead character hot on the trails of a serial killer. Mohanlal announced earlier, via his Facebook page, that Pranav has been training in parkour to prepare for this film.
Pranav debuted as a child artiste at the age of 12 in Onnaman, with father Mohanlal in the lead role. He played Mohanlal as a child in the movie. He then went on to win the Kerala State Award for Best Child Artist for Punarjani.
This film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor for Ashirvad Films, but other details, such as female lead and other cast and crew, are yet to be announced.
