Prabhu Solomon And Udhayanaidhi Stalin May Team Up Soon

Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin may soon star in a film directed by Prabhu Solomon. While speculations were rife about the two possibly coming together for a movie, the director confirmed in an interview with The Times of India that talks are on for the same. 

“It is true that we are discussing a project with him. We will decide about the possibility in a week’s time,” he said. If it works out, the film will have a desert theme, and will be a big-budgeted one. The director even confirmed a possible sequel to his 2012 film Kumki starring Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon.

The director’s last film, Thodari, starring Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh, was set on a moving train and was panned by critics. Solomon’s next is Rubbai – his own production, starring ‘Kayal’ Chandran and Anandhi. 

Meanwhile, Udhayanidhi has Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen releasing on May 17.  The film is also his first production this year under the Red Giant banner, and also stars Regina Cassandra, Srushti Dange, Soori, and Livingston. Written and directed by Ezhil, the film features music by D Imman and is set against a rural backdrop. Udhayanidhi is also shooting for Ippadai Vellum, directed by Gaurav Narayan, and Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam directed by Thalapathy Prabhu.
