Odipolama director Kanmani is working on another horror film, titled Peigal Jaakirathai. Starring newcomers Jeevaratnam and Eshanya, as well as Thambi Ramaiah, the film will be ‘completely different’ from previous horror movies, according to Kanmani.
Peigal Jaakirathai is a tale of two contrasting characters – one (Thambi Ramaiah) believes in ghosts, and the other (Jeevaratnam) thinks people who believe in ghosts are fools. Kanmani feels that the song sung by Thambi Ramaiah and Naan Kadavul’s Rajendran will be the highlight of the movie. Dance choreographer Ashok Raja will be working on the routine, and plans to depict Thambi Ramaiah as Kamal Haasan and Rajendran as Rajinikanth.
Peigal Jaakirathai’s cast also includes Mano Bala, John Vijay, Aadukalam Jayabalan, Tharun Kumar, and Black Pandi. Composer Maria Gerald has scored three songs for the movie. which has cinematography by Mallikarjun and editing by Suresh Ars. Produced by G Raghavan of Sri Sai Sarvesh Entertainment, the film also has on board cinematographer Mallikarjun and editor Suresh Ars.
