The Papanasam team is filming some important sequences in Thodupuzha. Kamal Haasan and Gouthami Tadimella, along with Pranav Mohanlal, are currently busy shooting at the home of Madathiparambil Joseph Kurubola. Interestingly, this house was also featured in the Malayalam original starring Mohanlal and Meena. Small changes are being made to the house to make it look like a typical Tamil household. The name of the house has been changed to ‘Rani Illam’ as Gouthami plays ‘Rani’ in the film.

The movie went on floors earlier this year, and is progressing rapidly. Kamal Haasan plays Suyambulingam, a middle class father of two and had to learn the Nellai dialect for his role. Nivedha Thomas and Baby Esther play Kamal’s daughters in the flick while Kalabhavan Mani is the baddie. Anand Mahadevan and Asha Sharath have also been roped in for crucial roles. Ghibran is composing music while Jeethu Joseph is directing the movie.
If all goes well, the team will wrap up shoot by November, according to the publicist.
