Oru Vadakkan Selfie was the first film to become a super hit in Mollywood this year. Directed by G Prajith, the film was a comedy-thriller about a group of friends who take a road trip. The story was penned by actor-filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan, who also played a key role in the film. Manjima Mohan essayed the female lead in the movie and Shaan Rahman composed the music.

As the film inches towards the 100 days mark in theaters, discussions on selling the rights of the film is in process. If all materializes, Oru Vadakkan Selfie will go on to break the record of Drishyam, which got remade in four languages.
