Nikesha Patel and Srikanth are all set to star in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual sequel of the Hindi film, Tere Meherbaniyan. The film, directed by KC Bokadia, will have the two actors play husband and wife on screen. A murder-mystery, like the original 1985 film directed by Bokadia, it will see two German Shepherds playing crucial roles.
“I play an independent and strong homemaker, while Srikanth (her husband in the film) plays a cop. I have never shared such a vibe with any actor so far, and Srikanth has been my best co-star till date. The romantic scenes between both of us will be unusual,” Nikesha told Deccan Chronicle.

The filming of the bilingual sequel has reportedly begun, with the story being a continuation of the original film. The shooting is taking place in Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur.
Tere Meherbaniyan had Jackie Shroff and Poonam Dhillon, with Amrish Puri playing the villain. The film was a remake of the Kannada movie, Thaliya Bhagya, starring Shankar Nag. The film was about the way a dog avenges the death of his master.
