NGK teaser follows the story of a man who does good for the people in his town, and soon aspires to enter politics. Although politics is a mess, a place where he gets beaten up, and he must beat others up, Suriya as politician Nanada Gopala Kumaran is prepared for it.

The film could be at dig at people who enter politics to be like Gandhi or MGR, whose photos NGK looks at in the start, but must turn violent to survive. Sai Pallavi, who seems to be NGK’s wife and support, says that even a ditch will become clean if Kumaran goes there. And Although Kumaran is the person that crowds of fans come running to, he is the politician who folds his hands before superiors and stands on a podium with a blood-stained palm. Whether the film is a satire of politicians, or one that celebrates them, is what we must we wait to see.

NGK also stars Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. There’s a shot in the trailer where she asks him “Arasiyal aa?” while he tries to pose like a politician. We don’t see much of her otherwise in the trailer. Bala Singh, Mansoor Ali Khan, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Sarath Kumar and Jagapathi Babu have other roles.
