Nayanthara is the latest addition to Atharvaa’s film with Demonte Colony fame Ajay Gnanamuthu. In conversation with Silverscreen, Ajay said “Nayanthara is not Atharvaa’s pair in the film. They are both the protagonists in the film and will be sharing the screen together. Nayanthara is a versatile actress and this role is something she has not done so far.”

The emotional crime thriller has been titled Imaikkaa Nodigal. Ajay Gnanamuthu said, “The title (which translates to ‘Moments we don’t blink’) signifies the few moments in life when we see something engrossing and we forget to blink. There will be a particular scene in the film which will make the title all the more relevent. I also hope that the audience feel that way when they see the film!”

According to Ajay, Imaikka Nodigal is an ’emotional crime thriller’. “Thrillers always engage the audience unlike any other genre. And thrillers have so many sub genres to it. Demonte was a horror thriller. Imaikkaa Nodigal is a emotional-romantic thriller. This genre, if handled and executed well will work big time.”
Cinematographer RD Rajasekar has been roped in to handle the camera. Unlike Ajay’s debut film Demonte Colony, Imaikkaa Nodigal will have songs, and the music director will be finalised in a week’s time. The team plans to begin filming this October. 90% of the film will be shot in Bengaluru.
Editor Bhuvan Srinivasan, art director Selvakumar and costume designer Poorthi Pravin are a part of the team. Cameo Films is set to produce this project.
