Sekhar Kammula’s debut Tamil movie ‘Anaamika’ has become the talk of the town. With its promotional tactics under fire for being ‘aggressive’ and ‘tasteless’, the movie is nonetheless making its presence felt. A remake of the sleeper hit ‘Kahaani’, the thriller has Nayanthara essaying the titular role with Vaibhav and Pasupathy playing supporting roles. Vaibhav will reportedly play Sarathy – a young and naïve police officer, while Pasupathy will take on the role of a powerful don.
Reports suggest that the movie will not be a frame to frame copy of the original, several new elements have supposedly been added by the director. Anaamika is also expected to have subtle use of situational comedy to make it more palatable to the tamil audience.
