The new office bearers of the Nadigar Sangam, Nasser, Vishal, Karthi, Karunas, and Ponvannan met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha at the Secretariat this Monday. Jayalalitha congratulated them on their victory, and assured them that that they had her Government’s in providing for the members of the Sangam. Jayalalitha also said that she would attend the pooja for the new Nadigar Sangam building.
Vishal subsequently told the press that the Nadigar Sangam team was extremely positive, and would take on the responsibility of carrying out welfare activities for its members in the future. President Nasser said, “This is a memorable day for us. She welcomed us like her relatives and asked about the situation at the Sangam. Her only request to us was to bring back the golden days, when Sivaji Ganesan and Major Sundarrajan were there. Her confidence has made her aware of our responsibilities.”
