Andy Serkis: “My Version Of Jungle Book Is Not Meant For Young Families”

Actor-turned-filmmaker Andy Serkis has made a ‘savage, more vicious’ version of The Jungle Book. Serkis said that his version was not meant for family audiences and will be much more savage. “Ours is a completely different take. Ours is much more savage. There are no songs, and it’s not meant for young families,” he added.

The film has Christian Bale as black panther Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as anaconda Kaa and Benedict Cumberbatch is the villainous Shere Khan. Rohan Chand will play Mowgli, the film’s hero.

The release of the film was postponed to make way for Disney’s clean version of the Rudyard Kipling classic. The film was a phenomenal success and went on to make over $966.6 million at the box office.
