‘Monkey Donkey’ First-Look Poster Out

Joining the list of upcoming children’s films is Monkey Donkey, written and directed by Abhianand and Saleesh Subramaniam. The film is pitched as a fun-filled travel story, and stars child actors Uvina and Sriram.

The first-look poster was released by composer Anirudh Ravichander yesterday. The poster features four people in a jungle, running from a wild elephant. Actors MR Kishore Kumar, Kaali Venkat, Bose Venkat, Yogjapee, Vandana and others star in the film.

Director Abhinand, who is a former assistant of Jeethu Joseph, told Silverscreen, “It’s a travelling movie that is both humourous and emotional. The story is about a daughter whose single father is always busy and doesn’t take her travelling. She goes on a trip to a jungle with two people and a boy, played by Sriram, and the story revolves around  how they get stuck there for a night.”

The film is a children’s entertainer, but is also said to look at how parents’ focus on money makes them ignore other aspects of their family’s and children’s lives. It was shot across Theni, Vagamon and Kochi. Post-production is on, and release can be expected in the next three months.
