Director Mithran Jawahar is likely to remake the Malayalam movie Thattathin Marayathu. Jawahar debuted with Yaaradi Nee Mohini, itself a remake of the Telugu film Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule. He followed this with successive reboots of telugu movies Arya, Ready and Swami Ra Ra Ra (Saamiyattam in Tamil).
Thattathin Marayathu, starring Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar was superhit when it released in 2012. The movie is about a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl falling in love. With Kamalhassan acting in an adaptation of Drishyam, this marks the second high profile Malayalam film that is being adapted to Tamil in recent times.
Mithran Jawahar is currently working on his Saamiyattam with Actor Srikanth.
