Model and actress Meera Mithun is the latest entrant into the Bigg Boss house. She made a surprise wildcard entry on Tuesday, two days after the show began, and is the last and 16th contestant. The third season of the show is also being hosted by actor-politician Kamal Haasan.

During the show’s launch on Sunday, Kamal Haasan said that there will be no elimination during the first week. The contestants on the show currently include actors, singers and news readers, besides two Sri Lankan and a Malaysian Tamil contestants.
Besides violinist Mohan Vaidhya, the contestants are Fathima Babu, Sherin Shringar, director Cheran, Sakshi Agarwal, Paruthiveeran Saravanan, Vanitha Vijayakumar, comedian Jaangiri Madhumitha, Chandini Tamilarasan, Losliya, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Tharshan Thiagarajan, Sandy, Mugen Rao and Reshma.
Bigg Boss 3 airs every day on Vijay TV from 9.30 pm and on Hotstar at 8 pm. The show’s TRP is already soaring. The second episode was about Nerkonda Paarvai actress Abhirami confessing her love for Kavin, who was recently seen in Natpuna Enna Theriuma. He said it was still early for him to say anything and he was bonding with everyone in the house, and also said he had liked Sherin since Thulluvadho Ilamai days.
This was before Meera Mithun made a surprise entry into the house, and it also brought up issues with Sakshi Aggarwal, Abhirami and Sherin who said they weren’t happy with her being there.
Meera Mithun won the Miss South India title in 2016, and a year later made her film debut in 8 Thottakkal. In 2018, she acted in Vignesh Shivan’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, starring Suriya, Keerthy Suresh and Kalaiyarasan. She was recently in the news when the Miss South India title was taken back from her for allegedly being involved in fraudulent activities and promoting Miss Tamil Nadu Diva, the beauty pageant she conducts, using the Miss South India logo and title.
