Manjima Mohan In Talks For Malayalam Remake Of ‘Queen’

While Kajal Aggarwal has been signed on for Tamil remake of Queen and Tamannaah for the Telugu version and Parul Yadav for Kannada, the  female lead for the Malayalam remake is yet to be finalised. Reportedly, Manjima Mohan has been approached to play Kangana Ranaut’s role.

A source close to the actress told Silverscreen, “Manjima is in talks for the project but nothing is confirmed.” Manjima has wrapped up the shoot of Ippadai Vellum, directed by Gaurav, starring Udayanidhi Stalin.

While the Tamil and Kannada remakes will be directed by Ramesh Arvind, Neelakanta will direct the Telugu one.

All the South Indian remakes of Queen is being bankrolled by Mediente. Ever since the announcement of remake of Queen was made a couple of years ago, the project has undergone a lot of changes in terms of its cast, crew and the production house.

Earlier, actress Revathy was supposed to direct Tamil and Malayalam versions, but she opted out citing, ‘production issues’.  First Amala Paul was considered for the Malayalam remake but she didn’t take up the film.
