Director Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani, which starred Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen, will be remade in Hindi by his former assistant Shaad Ali. Shaad Ali had also directed the Hindi remake of Alaipayuthey. Actors Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will reprise Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen’s characters in the Hindi remake. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Mani Ratnam and Shaad Ali are currently working on the script of the Hindi remake. Music director AR Rahman, who had composed the music for OK Kanmani, will also work on the music for the remake. Shooting is expected to begin in 2016. Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have previously acted together in Aashiqui 2.
