The teaser of the multi-lingual biopic Mahanati, on the life of late actress Savitri, is out. The one-minute teaser purely focuses on Keerthy Suresh who plays the lead. She looks ethereal as the enigmatic yesteryear actress.

While Keerthy Suresh plays the titular role, Dulquer Salmaan will be seen as Gemini Ganesan, Savitri’s co-star and husband. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin, who previously made the movie Yevade Subramanyam. Apart from the two leads, the cast also includes Prakash Raj as Aluri Chakrapani, Mohan Babu as SV Ranga Rao and Naga Chaitanya as Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Released by the Vyjayanthi Network, the teaser starts with the sound of a typewriter with a voice-over by Samantha Akkineni who is writing a story on Savitri. Samantha plays a journalist, while Vijay Deverakonda plays a photographer accompanying her. A motion poster teaser was released a few days back introducing their characters – Madhuravani and Vijay Antony.
The teaser showed sets that resemble the film sets of the 60’s. The music for the movie has been composed by Mickey J Meyer.
