Mahabalipuram will release in March, its distributor RK Suresh of Studio 9 announced today. Speaking at a press meet, he said, “We have resolved all the issues that thwarted the release. It was a tough battle, but we managed to fight and I’m glad that Mahabalipuram is going to be released.”
RK Suresh refrained from giving more details about what caused the delay.”I have learnt a lot in the recent past about how small-time producers struggle to release their films. Hence, I have decided to produce and distribute more small-budget movies.”
Directed by debutant Don Sandy, the film is based on a real incident that took place in Mahabalipuram. The film features an ensemble cast of Vetri, Angana Roy, Vithika Sheru, Vinayak, and Karunakaran.
Composer K has scored music.
