The Madras High Court, today, went heavily on JSK Satish, the petitioner who filed a case seeking a stay on Ilaiyaraaja 75, saying that he had dragged the case till a day before of the event which was so disrespectful to the music maestro, and the court refused to issue stay order for the event. So, the grand event will take place as scheduled at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam on February 2 and 3.
JSK Satish, who is also a member of Tamil Film Producers’ Council, had earlier filed a case stating that there was some financial misappropriation by the organizers, and requested the High Court to order a stay on the event. He also sought expenditure details for the event. The High Court, which heard the petition on Thursday, refused to do this as there was no proof of conspiracy related to funds, and ordered the organizers to go ahead with the event. Producer JSK Satish filed a petition again today, over yesterday’s order. In an immediate hearing, the court warned the petitioner, and asked the organizers to submit funding and expenditure details two weeks after the event.
While issuing the order, Justice Kirubakaran said to the petitioner, “You have disrespected the biggest musician of India by seeking a stay for an event that honours his achievements. You have dragged the case till the last minute.”

The grand event is being organized to celebrate the music legend’s legacy and also to raise funds for the welfare of the council’s members. Amidst all challenges, the TFPC is positive about its success as they have invited some big tickets to grace the special occasion.
Ahead of the event, shooting for all Tamil films have been cancelled for two days as a token of respect for the music legend. The event will be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit. ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan will attend the event. As a big surprise for all, speaking to the media, Vishal confirmed that AR Rahman will also attend the event.
