Director Pa Ranjith’s Madras has bagged Sri Nagi Reddy Memorial Award for the year 2014. A Filmibeat report said that this annual award ceremony took place on Friday at Kamarajar Arangam. Studio Green’s SR Prabhu, along with actors Kalaiarasan, Rithwika, Ramalingan, Murali and Pravin, received the award on behalf of the entire team.
Advocate Karpaga Vinayagam, actress Saroja Devi, director SP Muthuraman, Aaroor Das, Venkatrama Reddy and Bharathi Reddy attended the event.
Madras, starring Karthi and Catherine Tresa, was one of the successful movies of 2014. The movie won several awards and accolades for its brilliant screenplay and making.
