Mad Max: Fury Road Rules Critics’ Choice Awards

Mad Max: Fury Road, one of the contenders for the Best Picture award at the Oscarshas won nine awards at the 21st annual Critics’ Choice Awards. The movie won the Best Director (George Miller), Best Action Movie, Best Actress in an Action Movie (Charlize Theron), Best Actor in an Action Movie (Tom Hardy), Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects, Best Hair and Make-up awards.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio bagged the Best Actor Award for ‘The Revenant‘ and Brie Larson won the Best Actress trophy for ‘Room, at the event that took place on Sunday night in Santa Monica. Spotlight, directed by Tom McCarthy, was named as the Best Picture, and the Best Comedy Film award was presented to ‘The Big Short. Christian Bale, who played the lead role in The Big Short was named the Best Actor In A Comedy Role. Amy Schumer won the Best Actress In A Comedy for the 2015 film Trainwreck.
