Lyricist Vairamuthu has been roped in to pen lyrics for the songs of actor Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Thoongaavanam, directed by his long-time associate Rajesh M Selva.

Music director Ghibran, who is scoring tunes for this film, took to Twitter to announce that he was teaming up with the lyricist after Vishwaroopam 2, which is yet to hit the theatres.
Thoongaavanam’s shooting commenced on May 24 at Hyderabad, and has been progressing at a brisk pace.
Recently, the pictures of Kamal Haasan helping actors Prakash Raj and Trisha with their prosthetic make-up were doing the rounds on the social media.
Thoongaavanam’s star cast comprises of Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Madhu Shalini, Sampath, Kishore and Yugi Sethu.
Cinematographer Sanu Varghese and editor Vijay Shankar are part of the technical team.
