Lyca Productions will jointly produce the sequel to Imsai Arasan 23-aam Pulikesi with Shankar’s S Pictures. The film is likely to be directed by Chimbudeven, who had directed the first film in the series. Raju Mahalingam, COO of Lyca, confirmed the news:

Imsai Arasan 23-aam Pulikesi released in 2006, and was a political satire set in the late 18th century, during the early stages of the British Raj. Vadivelu, who played the lead role as King Pulikesi and his twin brother. Ilavarasu, will reprise his roles. Nasser and Manorama had played supporting roles in the first film.
