The Tamil Chamber of Commerce and Chozha Naachiar Foundation conferred actor Kamal Haasan with a Lifetime Achievement Award in a felicitation ceremony that was conducted in Chennai on Saturday, . The actor, who received the award in person, expressed his gratitude towards Malayalam cinema, where he was introduced as a lead actor. Kamal Haasan admitted that he is a potpourri of ideas and dreams of people whom he has encountered. The actor was glad to have received a Lifetime Achievement Award, which according to him was usually given to retired artistes, while he is actively involved in filmmaking. Dr Rosaiah, governor of Tamil Nadu, honoured Kamal Haasan. Veteran director SP Muthuraman, actors Sriman and Abhinay Ganesan were also seen.
