Shamitabh will reportedly have Dhanush play a deaf and mute junior artiste. According to the Mumbai based newspaper Mid-Day, Amitabh Bachchan will play a voiceover artist who dubs for the struggling Dhanush. The team recently shot a scene wherein Dhanush’s character walks the red carpet for an event and finally gets the recognition he deserves. Popular director Mahesh Bhatt was also involved in this scene and has played himself in the film.
Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshara Haasan and Dhanush, the film has R Balki in the helm while PC Sreeram pans the camera. Ilaiyaraaja has composed the music while Wunderbar Films, Hope Productions and Amitabh Bachchan Corporation have jointly produced it.
