Nayanthara took time out of her busy schedule as Lady Superstar and Objet d’Crush for this writer, to be Assistant Director in Aramm, a film written and directed by Gopi Nainar, and starring herself.
Sify quotes the director, Gopi Nainar, who said that Nayanthara liked the film and the script as soon as she heard it, and dug right into it. Gopi said, “Within five minutes of the narration, madam was impressed with the story and then, she only talked about the shooting schedule, how to enhance the script and we immediately got into work mode.”
He further added, “Nayanthara has worked as an assistant director in our film, she would perform her scenes, check it in the monitor, wait patiently for the next shot and never used the caravan.”
Debutant director Gopi’s Aramm is a film about land and water. Nayanthara plays a district collector who encounters a village protesting the indiscriminate use of the village’s water resources. The film’s music is by Ghibran, and it is produced by KJR Films.
