‘Kumki 2’ Storyline Has No Connection To ‘Kumki’, Says Prabhu Solomon

Kumki 2 is progressing in full swing. Reports suggest that the team has already completed two schedules- one in Bangkok and the other one in Ottapalam, Kerala.

The film’s director Prabhu Solomon says that the sequel’s storyline will have no connection to the prequel. Since Kumki 2 is also about elephants, the director has retained the name.

Solomon said: “Kumki 2 revolves around a baby elephant, a small boy and their friendship over the years. We were in search of a baby elephant in places like India, Sri Lanka and Burma. There were issues with seeking permission in these places. Eventually, everything fell in place in Thailand, where we have shot one schedule. We shot the second Ottapalam, Kerala. The third schedule will also be shot in and around Kerala.”

Newcomer Mathiazhagan will play the male lead, while the female lead is yet to be finalized by the makers. Solomon is reportedly planning to rope in Aditi Menon. An official confirmation about the same is awaited.

Balaji, Sreenath, Kolangal Thiruchelvam, Akash and Suzzane, among others, will be seen in supporting roles.

Prabhu Solomon also has Haathi Mere Saathi with Rana Daggubati in the lead.
