Since the announcement was made, speculations about the movie abound on social media sites. After the highly successful reception for the director’s last movie, Naanum Rowdy Thaan starring Nayanthara, many wondered whether the duo would work together for this film as well. There are also rumours that this movie is most likely to be a romantic-comedy, like his previous films.
The movie is produced by Studio Green and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and is scheduled to start its shoot by the end of October.
According to a newsminute report, the project came into being only because of Nayanthara’s involvement. The report claims that at a recent award event, the actress suggested to Suriya that he give Vignesh Shivan’s script a listen. The actor was thoroughly impressed with the script and signed on for the project.
Meanwhile, both the actor and director had to put their prior commitments on hold to work on this project. Vignesh Shivan was said to be working on Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, starring Vijay Sethupathi. Actresses Nayanthara and Trisha Krishnan had reportedly been signed on for the lead roles. Similarly, Suriya also had an upcoming project with director Muthaiah which was speculated to go on the floors after Singham 3 with director Hari.
Suriya’s Singham 3 is heading for a Diwali release.
