Actor Krishna, whose last major release was Maari 2, will make his Malayalam debut with Picasso, directed by Sunil Kariattukara. The shooting for the movie is currently underway.
Krishna Kulasekaran made his acting debut in the 2008 Tamil film Alibhabha. Directed by Neelan K Sekar, the movie featured Prakash Raj and Janani Iyer in prominent roles. 11 years later, the actor is set to make his Malayalam debut.
Sharing the news on Twitter, the actor said that he would be “getting out of his comfort zone” for the movie.

Talking about the project, the actor said in a CE report, “It’s an action film and I play a gangster in it. The makers wanted an actor who could pull off the rough role, and they were impressed with my acting in Pandigai and Maari 2. We started shooting in Kerala yesterday and I am surprised by the way people here have been showering their love on me.”
Picasso is being produced by Sheik Afzal under the banner of Ayaana Films. Music for the movie is by the Jimikki Kammal fame composer Shaan Rahman. Picasso is slated to release in April.
Meanwhile, Krishna is currently shooting for Kazhugu 2 – the sequel to his 2012 hit movie. Directed by Sathya Siva, the movie features Bindhu Madhavi who was the female lead in the original.
He is awaiting the release of Graghanam, directed by Pyar Prema Kadhal fame Elan. The movie is a supernatural thriller starring Kayal Chandran and Nandhini in the female lead. He has also finished shooting for Thiru Kural that will release later this year. The movie is currently in its post-production stage.
Kreshna’s last major release was Maari 2. He played the role of Dhanush’s best friend in the movie. He also played the lead in two movies that released last year – Kalari and Veera.
