Starring Vikrant Massey in the lead role, the drama film has Kalki Koechlin, Tillotama Shome, Gulshan Devaiah, Ranvir Shorey, Om Puri and Tanuja. It’s produced by Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan under the banner of Macguffin Pictures. Most of the film’s dialogues are in English. It will also screen next month at Busan in the festival’s Window on Asian cinema section.
The film had reportedly wrapped up shooting in six weeks in March 2016 and was launched by Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj.
Participating in the ongoing festival, Konkona Sharma was happy for her film’s recognition. She said, “I’m so grateful to my producers, I’m grateful to TIFF and to Cameron Bailey who’s been so supportive and encouraging. And it’s such a nice platform for people who are film lovers and who want to watch something that’s not within the mainstream and not following a specific formula.”
