Keerthy Suresh plays a cameo in Manmadhudu 2, directed by Rahul Ravindran. The film stars Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead, and recently, Samantha Akkineni also came on board for a cameo.
Speculations about Keerthy Suresh’s part in the film have been doing the rounds for over a week. Nagarjuna announced the news on Twitter yesterday, and shared a picture of the team together.

Director Rahul Ravindran also shared a still of her and Nagarjuna from the shoot.

The film is a romantic entertainer, and is said to star both Keerthy Suresh and Rakul Preet opposite Nagarjuna. Samantha signed up for the role in April, and the shoot for her portions are over.
Both Samantha and her father-in-law Nagarjuna had shared a picture from the sets.

Her role is said to be an extended cameo in a five-minute sequence in the film, important to the story. Major parts of the film are being shot in Europe, where the story is set.
Vennela Kishore, Devadarshini, Jhansi, Rao Ramesh, Nassar, Lakshmi and others play supporting roles. Chaithan Bharadwaj is the music composer, and production is by Nagarjuna’s Manam enterprises and P Kiran’s Anandi Art Creations.

The film is a sequel of the 2002 Manmadhudu, a romantic comedy starring Nagarjuna, and produced by him. This was one of his career-best hits. The film co-starred Sonali Bendre and revolved around the couple’s love story. It was directed by Vijaya Bhaskar and written by director Trivikram Srinivas.
It is said that Nagarjuna approached Rahul Ravindran for the sequel because he was impressed with his 2018 Telugu film Chi La Sow, starring Sushanth and Ruhani Sharma.
Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh recently wrapped up shoot for the mega budget Markkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, co-starring Mohanlal. The film is in post-production stages and is expected to release early next year. She also has a film with director Narendranath, and a sports film with Nagesh Kukunoor under production. She will be making her Bollywood debut soon.
Rakul Preet Singh is busy with SK 14, her Tamil film with Ravikumar and Sivakarthikeyan, and Marjaavaan in Hindi.
