Actor Kathir, who catapulted to fame with Madha Yaanai Kootam and Kirumi, will portray a different look in his next film, Sigai, directed by Jagadeesan Babu. The first look of Sigai depicts Kathir with a demure smile, glossy hair, and dark eyelashes and make-up. Speaking to TOI, the actor stated that he plays a multi-layered character with a strong effeminate side. Without divulging details on the character or the storyline, Kathir said that the team had used ‘Sigai Alangaram’ (hair dressing) in Sigai.
Sigai is a film is set in the backdrop of Anna Nagar with the story revolving around events that happen in a single day. Kathir is confident that the film would redefine the meaning of a sociological thriller. He added that the film had nine pivotal characters and he had been given the freedom to choose the character he wanted to portray.
