Kabir Khan has finally admitted to adapting Alejandro Gomez Monteverde’s 2015 movie Little Boy in Hindi. The film is the basis for the upcoming Salman Khan starrer, Tubelight.
“It is in the credits of Tubelight as official story adaptation. But it’s just the seed of an idea. Everything else has been completely changed in Tubelight.”
The original Little Boy is set in California during the World War. It follows a differently-abled man, ‘Pepper’, who befriends the Japanese soldiers and teaches them the many benefits of being humane. In the Hindi version, Kabir Khan has used the 1962 Indo-China war as background. Salman Khan is the Indian ‘Pepper’.
