Joju George, Fahadh Faasil And Dileesh Pothen To Work On “Thankam”; Here’s The Latest

Working Class Hero, the production banner of director-actor Dileesh Pothan and writer Syam Pushkaran, is teaming up with Fahadh Faasil’s production company again, for a crime drama titled Thankam.

The film is being directed by Saheed Arafath, a long-time associate of Dileesh. His directorial debut, Theeram, hit the screens in 2017.

The film will have Fahadh, Dileesh and Joju George playing the lead roles. The screenplay was written by Syam himself. Gautham Shankar, who was part of Theevandi, will handle the cinematography. Biji Bal, who composed music for Dileesh’s directorial debut Maheshinte Prathikaram, is part of Thankam.

 

Working Class Hero and Fahadh Faasil began their partnership last year with Kumbalangi nights which released in theatres early this year and went on to become a critical and commercial success.

Fahadh, who recently wrapped up Anwar Rasheed’s Trance, is currently working in director Mahesh Narayanan’s Malik. The shoot is underway on a set in Fort Kochi. It is produced by Anto Joseph, and the cast includes Nimisha Sajayan and Kunchako Boban.

Joju and Dileesh worked together in Padmakumar’s Joseph (2018) in which the former played the protagonist and Pothan, a pivotal role. The actors will be seen together again in Kamal KM’s film, Pada. Joju is currently in London, shooting for Karthik Subbaraj’s film with Dhanush. His co-production, Chola, directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, recently premiered at Venice International Film Festival. Dileesh has played a minor role in Geetu Mohandas’ upcoming film, Moothon, which will have its Indian premiere at MAMI Mumbai film festival on October 17.
