Director Ramprakash Rayappa next film will feature actor Jiiva and actress Hansika, and is likely to be titled ‘Pokkiri Raja’. A 1982 Tamil film of the same name was directed by legendary director SP Muthuraman and starred Rajinikanth in a double role, as well as Sridevi and Radhika. It’s still unknown whether the team has obtained SP Muthuraman’s permission to use the title.
Ramprakash Rayappa’s best work includes Tamilukku En Ondrai Aluthavum starring Nakul, Bindu Madhavi and Attakathi Dinesh. Jiiva is busy shooting for Thirunaal with Nayanthara and Kavalai Vendam with Kajal Aggarwal, Nikki Galrani and Bobby Simhaa. Hansika’s recent and ongoing projects include Puli, Aranmanai 2 and a remake of Jolly LLB.
