Director Mohan Raja is currently working on the screenplay of the sequel to Thani Oruvan. Lead actor Jayam Ravi confirmed the news and added that his brother was fine tuning the script. Jayam Ravi also said that the concept is completely original, and he had personally volunteered to attend the script discussion sessions. He added that Thani Oruvan 2‘s core idea revolves around a socially relevant subject.
Jayam brothers Raja and Ravi’s Thani Oruvan was one of the biggest films this year. The film starred Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Harish Uthaman. Hip Hop Adhi’s music in the film was also widely appreciated.
