Jayam Ravi has reportedly signed on to play the male lead in director I Ahmed’s next. The actor will work on this film before Sundar C’s Sangamithra. According to a Times of India report, the film will be a commercial entertainer.

“Ahmed and Ravi met recently and finalised the fine details regarding this project. The female lead and the other cast and crew are still being finalised. The film will go on floors on September 5,” a source told ToI.
The actor is currently shooting for Shakti Soundar Rajan Tik Tik Tik, billed as India’s first ever ‘space’ film. He plays an astronaut in the film, and has been shooting on Chennai’s ECR in a specially constructed space-shuttle set. Tik Tik Tik is scheduled to hit screens in September. Jayam Ravi will move on to Sanghamitra after this shoot.
