The latest addition to the cast of Dhanush-starrer, Karthik Subburaj’s, gangster flick set in London, is actor James Cosmo, known to Game of Thrones fans as Lord Commander Jeor Mormont of House Mormont, and for his roles in movies like Braveheart, Troy and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The director welcomed the actor on board by tweeting:

It is noteworthy that Karthik Subbaraj had earlier said in an interview that he tried approaching Robert De Niro and Al Pacino but that went nowhere. The director had confirmed the news of the movie’s production rolling out with a press release on 19 July and had said that this was a script close to his heart.

This movie, being produced by Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainment, will have Santhosh Narayan’s music, and Shreyas Krishna and Vivek Harshan as its director of photography and editor, respectively. Tentatively titled D40, also starring Aishwarya Lekshmi of Mayanadhi fame, D40 is expected to go on the floors soon and the team has flown to London already.
