Irrfan Spotted In Mumbai; Thanks His Fans In A Note

Award-winning actor Irrfan, who has been undergoing treatment in London for a neuroendocrine tumour, was spotted at Mumbai International Airport earlier today. The actor has also issued a note of gratitude to his fans.

In his statement, the actor spoke about how, while climbing the ladder of success, people forgot the importance of being loved. They are reminded of it only during times of vulnerability. He thanked fans for their love and support which, he believed, helped him sail through these testing times. In the end, he announced that he was back.

His colleagues from the film fraternity tweeted out messages of welcome after the actor’s tweet.

Last month, actor-director Tigmanshu Dhulia had confirmed that the actor had recovered and was set to start shooting for Hindi Medium 2. “I did meet him after he returned to India. He is perfectly fine now. Irrfan told me that he will begin shooting for the Hindi Medium franchise soon,” Dhulia was quoted as saying by DC.

Reports emerged early last year that the actor had been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Soon, he released a statement saying that he had a neuroendocrine tumour and that it was not related to the brain. He was last seen in the 2018 film Karwaan.

Hindi Medium, directed by Saket Chaudhary, spoke about a couple trying to get their son admitted in an English medium school. The movie, a social satire, went on to become a huge hit. It also released in China where it became successful.

Irrfan won the National Award for Best Actor for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film Paan Singh Tomar. When asked about collaborating with the actor, Dhulia replied “Yes, we will do a film soon. Actually, we were in the process of writing one for him. Probably, if everything goes well, we shall be making the film soon.”
