The film’s spokesperson told Silverscreen, “Yes, Indhuja has joined the team, her character is yet to be revealed.” Indhuja has acted in short films, TV serials and movies. In 2017, she made her film debut with Meyaadha Maan which made her an overnight star. She also acted in Karthik Subbaraj’s Mercury the same year.

She has currently joined the sets of Thalapathy 63, which is speculated to be a sports drama but also an investigative thriller with Vijay as a football team’s coach who gets framed for the murder of someone.

The film’s spokesperson confirmed that huge sets of a football stadium was constructed in Chennai’s East Coast Road for the movie. The sets reportedly cost the team Rs 6 crore, which worked out cheaper than hiring a football ground for a 50-day schedule.

Pictures of the sets are going viral among Vijay fans.

Excited fans have also been following the actor to the shoot locations, and some videos show a group following Vijay’s car shouting ‘Thalaiva Thalaiva’. In another incident, a group of fans standing on a fence to meet Vijay fell on the other side. Vijay and a few others went to their help. He has been asking fans to go back and not follow him.

Thalapathy 63 will be lighter than Vijay’s previous films, the actor revealed recently. This is his third film with Atlee after Theri and Mersal, both big-budget movies. The film features a big star cast with Nayanathara, Kathir, Vivekh, Yogi Babu and others. It is produced by Archana Kalapthi under the banner of AGS Entertainments.

In mid-February, gaana singer and Super Singer participant Kapish Poovaiyaar was also said to have joined. This was when Chennai’s famous Napier’s bridge was recreated at a popular studio in the city for the shoot. Some work for the film was also taking place at Binny mills during that time.
