In a press statement, she said, “It is very thrilling to hear such reviews from the people whom I respect much. We were conscious to invite people who are honest in their opinion.” The film stars Aadukalam Kishore, Sriranjani, Lovelyn Chandrasekhar, and Kishore of Pasanga fame, and Lakshmy said, that “a good script will earn its actors.”

She said, “Aadukalam fame Kishore has done a lead role in this film, which marks the debut of Viji Chandrasekhar’s daughter Lovelyn as female lead. Viji Chandrasekhar and her sister Saritha, who had dominated the screen during the yesteryear, can be proud of this young girl.”

“The child artiste who won National awards in Pasanga, and garnered huge reception for Goli Soda, is playing another lead character. Sriranjani would be reflecting the moms in every home with her simplistic yet powerful characterisation,” she said.

Lakshmy also credited the film’s technical team, which includes music by Ghibran, and lyrics by Madhan Karky and Anuradha. Singers Chinmayi, Sathyaprakash and Benny Dayal worked on the songs. Prem of Magalir Mattum fame was the editor, Krishna Sekar was the cinematographer, and Tapas Nayak handled audiography.

The official teaser for House Owner released last week. It showed glimpses into the lives of the lead actors. There was constant rain in the background of the teaser, as their houses began flooding. The director said that the story was set during Chennai floods, and the characters were inspired by the people she had met in real life.

Lakshmy, who has made films like Aarohanam and Ammani, was confident that House Owner too had a good audience, and it needed to find the right platform and a theatrical release. “I really hope it gets the platform it deserves, and there are no middle men who to stop the film from reaching the audience,” she said.
