Hichki, starring Rani Mukerji, is being regarded as her comeback film. Rani plays the character of Naina Mathur – a teacher with Tourette’s Syndrome, who is tasked to teach 14 children who hail from the slums studying in an elite school under the Right to Education Act.

To the uninitiated, her condition appears funny and strange. But, as she explains, it’s as though a wire in her prompts these repetitive movements. “It’s a neurological condition. Sometimes when the wire in our brain have a loose connection, they give a shock.” She even says that she was born to be a teacher, when someone suggests that she should try another profession.

Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, Hichki is set to release on February 23, 2018.

The first-look poster of Aiyaary starring Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh was out a few days back. The film has Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee as army men. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain and Naseeruddin Shah. It is directed by Neeraj Pandey, known for films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story; Baby and A Wednesday.

Aiyaary revolves around two Army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways. It’s based on a real-life story.

Sidharth Malhotra plays Major Jai Bakshi, who is in surveillance and listens in on conversations that involves tax payers money and cheating people off. Turns out Jai is a swindler and one of the rotten eggs from the Indian Army, however, his story is kept under wraps so that the honour of the Army is not tainted. Thus begins a chase when Colonel Abhay Singh pursues Jai.

The trailer shows exotic locations, intense phone conversations, and lots of sleek guns and chases. Considering the film exudes patriotism, it is only fitting for it to release on January 26 next year, alongside Akshay Kumar’s PadMan.
