GV Prakash’s Sister Bhavani Sre Makes Film Debut In ‘Ka Pae Ranasingham’

Actress Bhavani Sre, AR Rahman’s niece and GV Prakash’s younger sister, is making her film debut with Ka Pae Ranasingham starring Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead. The film is directed by newcomer P Virumandi.

Aishwarya Rajesh recently tweeted that Bhavani has an interesting role. The makers have not revealed her character yet. A source close to the film said that Bhavani has already joined the sets, and the team is busy shooting in Ramanathapuram. The team will move to Hyderabad, Chennai and also Dubai later, for other portions.

The first-look poster has the title in red on an official Government document. Vijay Sethupathi plays the titular character Ranasingham. Aishwarya Rajesh plays Ariyanachi. The film’s cast also includes director Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Velu Ramamurthy and ‘Poo’ Ramu.

It is expected that more announcements will be made as the film progresses.

P Virumandi began his career as director Selvam’s associate, and has worked as co-director and assistant on many films, including Gopi Nainar’s Nayanthra-starrer Aramm.

For Ka Pae Ranasingam, he collaborates with director Shanmugam Muthusamy of Adankathey fame for dialogues, Sivanandheeswaran for editing, Sudharshan for cinematography and Lalkudi N Illayaraja for art direction. The film is said to be high on action sequences, with stunt choreography by Peter Hein. Music is by Ghibran and lyrics by Vairamuthu.

Kotapadi J Rajesh will produce the movie under the KJR Studios banner. He has produced Aramm, Airaa and Kulebakavali, and is currently busy with Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Hero, directed by PS Mithran.

Actress Bhavani Sre was recently seen in an important role in the web-series The High Priestess, starring Amala Akkineni. She is the third person in her family after her brother Prakash and sister-in-law singer Saindhavi to join the film industry.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rajesh has many films in Telugu and Tamil under production, including Mei, Kousalya Krishnamurthy… Cricketer (the remake of Kanaa), SK 16 and Vada Chennai 2. 

Vijay Sethupathi is gearing up for the release of SU Arun Kumar’s Sindhubaadh this month, and has Laabham, Marconi Mathai and other films under production.
