GV Prakash and Shalini Pandey’s upcoming film together – 100 % Kadhal – will go on floors today. The team had a press meet in the morning, and announced that they will start rolling from today.

The film is a remake of Telugu project 100% Love. GV Prakash Kumar plays the male lead in the Tamil version. Sukumar, who directed the original, has signed on to produce the Tamil version while Chandramouli is the director.
100% Kadhal, similar to the 2011 film starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Naga Chaitanya, is about two students competing against each other academically; one of them tries to outrank the other in a bid to win their love.
Filming was originally scheduled to begin in August this year. Due to issues with Lavanya Tripathi, who was originally cast as the female lead, the team suffered a minor setback.
