GV Prakash Completes Two Songs For ‘Asuran’

Actor and composer GV Prakash has completed two songs for director Vetrimaaran’s Asuran, starring Dhanush and Manju Warrier in the lead. It was recently reported that the film stars Dhanush in a dual role, as a father and son.

GV Prakash told Silverscreen, “It’s too early to talk about the audio for Asuran. We’ll speak when the audio release approaches.” He tweeted that he was excited about the album, and there were dance numbers in the film.

Dhanush and GV Prakash are working together 8 years after their previous film Aadukulam. The movie had lead to an unknown rift between them, but things have settled now. Asuran by Vetrimaaran is based on Tamil writer Poomani’s novel Vekkai, which is about a son avenging his father’s death. If work on Asuran goes as planned, the movie will release this summer.

GV Prakash is busy with many projects under production. He has acted and composed for Kuppathu Raja, set to hit screens on April 5. ‘Enga Area Engaludhu’, another dance song from the film released recently, and has raised expectations. The film has been in production for the last two years, and marks the directorial debut of Bala Bhaskar. Parthiban and Palak Lalwani also star in the lead.

Soon after Kuppathu Raja, Watchman will release on April 12. Directed by AL Vijay, the film is about a sales boy whose life turns around when he finds himself in a life-threatening situation one night. GV Prakash has the much awaited Jail by Vasantha Balan. Ayngaran, Adangathey, 4G, 100% Kaadhal are his other acting-composing projects under production.

GV Paakash recently announced that he will be starring with Siddharth in Sivappu Manjal Pachai, which has music by Siddhu Kumar. Shooting for the film is currently underway.
