Music composer Govind Vasantha is part of actor Nivin Pauly’s upcoming film, Padavettu. Directed by Liju Krishna, the film marks actor Sunny Wayne’s debut in feature film production. The film’s ‘first look’ poster was released last week.
Govind, the founder-member of Kerala-based music band Thaikkudam Bridge, rose to fame with his work in the Tamil film 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha. He made his debut in Anil Radhakrishna Menon’s North 24 Kathaam in 2015. He is currently working in a handful of projects in Tamil and Telugu, including Sethupathi-starrer Thuglak Durbar, a political-comedy, Jeethu Joseph’s film starring Karthi, Jyothika and Nikhila Vimal, actor Siddharth’s upcoming film and the Telugu remake of 96.
Padavettu marks Liju Krishna’s feature film debut. An alumnus of Calicut University’s School Of Drama, Krishna had directed Moment Just Before Death, a stage play, in 2015, which was produced by Sunny Wayne. In 2016, Krishna helmed short film Ima, starring Menaka and Prathap Pothan.
Nivin Pauly recently wrapped up Love Action Drama, directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, in which his co-star is Nayanthara. The film, produced by Aju Varghese, will release in theatres during the Onam season. The actor is also working in Rajeev Ravi’s historical drama Thuramukham, where he plays a youth from Mattancherry. Moothon, directed by Geethu Mohandas, where he plays the protagonist, is in the post-production stage.
